What Is A Tile Adhesive ?
Cell O Con Tile adhesive is a cementitious powdery substance that forms a paste when mixed with water or some special liquid additives. This forms bedding for the tiles over the substrate. Tile adhesives give an excellent bond on cementitious surfaces like concrete and plaster. Tiles can be positioned over this bedding which binds them and keeps them in place. Adhesive forms a waterproof barrier between two surfaces and has excellent ‘grab’ properties.
If we didn’t use proper tile adhesives or follow traditional methods, the bedding may not fully cover the tiles. This makes the tiles crack after some time or produce a hollow sound if we knock the tiles which are not desirable.
